So you have decided to work with Unity to identify your organization’s next accounting and finance executive. You may be asking yourself, “What now?” Although we tailor each engagement, we utilize the following road map as a framework for the success of your retained search.

DEFINE WHO

Who are you seeking? When identifying a leader, Unity seeks to understand the skillset required to be successful and the characteristics necessary to ensure compatibility with your organization’s corporate culture. During this stage, we meet with you to define who you are looking for, what responsibilities they will have, the critical success factors, and key objectives of your search.

RESEARCH

Understanding the market. After we understand who you are seeking, we begin to identify prospective candidates for your role. Through our national network and local database, we query resources and qualify potential professionals from across the country. Unity conducts extensive research on each prospective candidate to ensure we have a clear understanding of their past experiences, personality, and confidence in their ability to appropriately fulfill your organization’s desired goals. We maintain the confidentiality of both the candidate and client throughout the process.

PROSPECT PRESENTATION

Evaluate your options. Once we have identified several viable candidates, Unity presents each candidate’s profile to you for your review. Each profile provides an extensive, yet concise, summary of the candidate’s past professional experiences, achievements, and a summary of personality characteristics that go beyond what you normally receive from a basic resume. We then work through each profile with you to answer any questions you may have.

INTERVIEWS

We will coordinate the interview process from start to finishOnce you’ve identified your next leader, we then work with you to finalize the hiring process making the transition as easy as possible.
