One of Dallas’ most well-known companies that specializes in the Oil & Gas industry has partnered with Unity Search to find a Senior Analyst – SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting. This is an add to staff position due to an internal promotion! The Senior Analyst will assist with ASC 718, 606, 842 as well as with SEC Reporting. The company works a hybrid schedule of 3 days in, 2 days out with every other Friday off of work! - Research and document memos regarding the application of U.S. GAAP to non-routine, technical accounting issues including, but not limited to, acquisitions and divestitures, debt transactions, impairment testing, ASC 718, ASC 606, & ASC 842 (incentive compensation, equity, and lease accounting).
- Review revenue contracts and document quarterly analyses of appropriate recognition of revenue under ASC 606.
- Assist with a variety of ad hoc projects.
- Perform monthly accounting for incentive compensation, equity and earnings per share.
- Prepare officer performance award assessments & present results to upper management.
- Prepare annual SOX Scoping and Risk Assessment and assist with maintaining the Company’s documentation of the design of key controls.
- Assist with preparation of 10-Q/10-K (including XBRL tagging, tie-outs, and drafting footnotes/disclosures).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university… Required.
- 3+ Years Experience within a public accounting firm (Audit/Assurance).
